Laser Hair Removal
We use the MeDioStar NeXT, which is a diode laser hair removal machine manufactured in, and imported from Germany. This medical laser is known to be the most effective hair removal laser throughout the industry.
How Laser Hair Removal Works
Laser hair removal employs intense beams of light focused on infiltrating hair follicles selectively. These beams are absorbed by the pigment in the follicles, leading to the destruction of the hair within. Painless Laser Hair Removal utilizes sophisticated laser light technology that specifically targets the melanin in the hair follicle. The laser light is absorbed into the hair's root, resulting in the elimination of hair cells and inhibiting future regrowth. Importantly, this treatment ensures the safety of the surrounding skin, making it a considered and effective approach.
Laser Hair Removal has superior results with no downtime. A minimum of 8-12 sessions are advised with ongoing maintenance sessions for successful results.

What you can expect
Laser hair removal usually requires 8-12 sessions. The interval between treatments will vary depending on the area being treatment.
During each session, specialised goggles are worn to shield your eyes from the laser beam.
Therapists may trim or shave the area as needed. The handheld laser device, equipped with a cooling device on the tip, is applied to your skin. To safeguard your skin and minimise potential side effects, ultra-gel is used during the procedure.
The Procedure
Once the laser activates, the laser beam will pass through your skin to the hair follicles. The heat from the laser beam damages the hair follicles, which inhibits hair growth. You might feel discomfort, such as a warm pinprick, and you'll likely feel a sensation of cold from the cooling device or gel.
Treating a small area, such as the upper lip, might take only a few minutes. Treating a larger area, such as the back, might take more than an hour.

Important Information
How To Get Ready For Your Laser Treatment
- Avoid any tanning. Suntan, fake tan and sunbeds are equally dangerous. If your skin is tanned, the laser can burn the surface. If all traces of your fake tan are not removed this also can put you at risk.
- Leave at least 4 weeks before getting your laser treatment if your skin is tanned.
- Make sure you’re not on antibiotics.
- Avoid waxing or plucking before laser hair removal. As these options change the hair growth cycle, the laser will not be able to catch the hair follicles on the right stage and it will not be able to reduce the hair.
- Do not bleach your hair. The darker the hair follicles, it is easier for the laser to see them
- Clean the treatment area before your session. Don’t use any cosmetic creams before your session. You can ask for sanitary towels from your practitioner at the beginning of your session to clean the area as well.
- Make sure that you have between 4-6 weeks full hair growth before your first session.
- Shave 24 hours before your laser appointment. NOT on the treatment day. To read more about how to shave correctly, you can visit our blog
- Choose a non-perfumed shaving/ cleansing product for your bikini area. Otherwise, it might cause irritation. Read more about how to shave correctly.
- Use a pH-balanced feminine cleanser wash afterward to make sure all the shaving foam has been removed. For more tips on how to shave click here
- Gently exfoliate your bikini area 3-4 days before your session. Don’t leave it to the last day or after you shaved. Otherwise, it might irritate your skin.
- Make sure all the excess hair from the labia and perianal area has been removed.
- Wear loose clothes for your treatment. Make sure your underwear is not too tight.
- If you have a low pain threshold, you can take a mild pain reliever before your session (not Ibuprofen).
- Some of our clients find chewing gum during treatment helpful.
- Try to schedule the treatment the week before or the week after your period
- Most importantly, relax, you’re in safe hands.
On The Treatment Day
Undressing
You will need to undress the parts that you are having the laser treatment. Your therapist will provide you with towels to cover yourself where and when necessary.
If you are having laser treatment on more than one area or the full body, you might prefer to get undressed partially for each area for more comfort.
Your therapist will check if the growth of hair is suitable for the treatment. And then clean the treatment area.
Correct Settings
Your therapist may change the settings of the machine during your treatment. This is to adapt the best power and consistency to the area treated. We will make sure to treat the area with the most appropriate and necessary settings. Which can differ from area to area due to the number of sessions completed, the number of hair follicles, or the sensitivity of the skin.
Immediately After Laser Hair Removal
After your treatment, your therapist will apply Aloe Vera gel to the sensitive treated areas. Or if you prefer to apply yourself they will provide you with the gel.
They will ask how you are feeling and how was your session. We will always make sure you were pleased with your session and you don’t have any discomfort afterward. You will be given your privacy to dressed.

Frequently Asked Questions
What Does Laser Feel Like?
The sensations of the laser vary from person to person and the treatment area. While some experience a slight sting, some people don’t even feel the laser unless they hear its beeping sound.
Different factors affect how the laser would feel on sensitive skin. Such as hair colour, density, skin type and pain threshold. But you can make sure that the feeling of laser decreases after each treatment as the hair follicles get finer and lighter, and your body is getting used to the feeling over time.
When will I see the results after having laser hair removal?
You will likely see the results immediately after treatment. The results vary from patient to patient.
The color and thickness of your hair, area treated, type of laser used, and color of your skin all affect the results. You can expect a 10% to 25% reduction in hair after the first treatment.
How long will the results of laser hair removal last?
Most patients remain hair free for months or even years. When some of the hair regrows, it will likely be less noticeable.
To keep the area free of hair, a patient may need maintenance laser treatments.
What are the possible side effects?
The most common side effects are minor and last 1 to 3 days. These side effects include:
- Discomfort
- Swelling
- Redness
Other possible side effects are rare when laser hair removal is performed by a dermatologist or under the dermatologist’s direct supervision. Other possible side effects include:
